Getting traffic to your website
Getting traffic to your website and having traffic come to your website are two different trains of thought that we must address in order to see the best results with the least amount of effort.
Granted, you will have to invest some time in order for these simple methods to work, but at least you see some results for your efforts.
Getting traffic to your website has the connotation of chasing after people to get them to check out your site and subsequently your offers on that site. When it comes to chasing after people it's always going to be harder to achieve the results your looking for.
Now if you want traffic to come to you, the best thing to do would be to go to it. Sounds simple enough right? Well you're probably saying: "how the heck to I go to traffic?" Glad you asked, because until I learned what I'm about to share with you, like so many struggling affiliates out there, I was killing myself to get traffic.
So here we go. There are giant hubs of activity on the internet teaming with prospects, subscribers and buyers just waiting to see what you have to offer. Sounds crazy right? The key is to tap into those hubs to siphon out or redirect some of that traffic in the direction of your website.
These places are your social bookmarking and social networking sites. In sites like Myspace, Facebook, Digg, and StumbleUpon to name a few, there are tons of people looking to find out about and new services and products. As simple as that sounds, there is a way to go about marketing to these people and that's what we'll talk about in the coming segments.
But for now, for every article and post you make to your blog, social bookmark every piece of internet real estate you own. Do this at least once a week, so as not to be labeled a spammer and this will get your traffic going.
In addition to social bookmarking be sure to ping your blog after you've made a new entry or made any updates to alert the search engines to crawl your site.
If you would rather watch step-by-step videos that show you exactly how to drive massive targeted traffic to your website, be sure to visit Michael's Traffic Videos to see exactly how to increase your profits by increasing your traffic.
